Member Spotlight: Dr Claire Malone

Dr Claire Malone joined the Guild of Young Freemen in June 2024. She is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Educators. She holds a particle physics PhD at the University of Cambridge and has conducted research at CERN. She is a science journalist and public speaker at international conferences, focusing on the effective communication of science in the age of generative artificial intelligence. She has previously spoken at the Royal Institute and has given a TED talk.

Dr Claire Malone represents several charities that operate in the education and disability sectors, including the ACE Centre, SpecialEffect and the Lightyear Foundation to raise awareness and help secure the funding necessary to continue our vital work.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, and sometimes writing Sci-Fi novels.
